The Carly Ryan foundation has released an application for iPhones called Thread, which will be released for Android devices in March 2015. If you have a child or teenager we highly recommend this app be downloaded on their phones. But this app is for everyone.
So what does this app do, and why should you spend the minute or two it will take to download and install it?
“thread is a personal safety app that allows users to communicate with friends, family and carers.”
“Thread allows users to send a check-in with the touch of a button, chat about their concerns and, in the event of an emergency, send a message to their contacts while dialling emergency services.”
The Carly Ryan foundation is continuously working to help keep our youth safe in cyber space. This app is another initiative that may save a life.
